  • Border Bicentenary Piano Festival – funding for a public concert and educational project to celebrate the bicentenaries of Chopin, Liszt and Alkan.

  • Kestrals Gym -partial funding to buy a specialist gymnastics floor for the club.

  • Portskewett Good Companions – funding for a trip to see a Christmas Panto.

  • Chepstow Choral Society – the purchasing of a new electronic piano with stand and case for taking to concerts.

  • Arts Alive – funding for textile workshops based on recycling clothing including photography and writing, culminating in an exhibition in Abergavenny.

  • Usk Junior Football Club - training new coaches in first aid and Football Leader qualifications.

  • Gwent Young Peoples Theatre – funding for the summer production of ‘The Golden Masque of Agamemnon’.

  • Monmouth People’s First – training courses for able and disabled people to improve understanding and opportunities.

  • Chepstow Hearing – funding for lip-reading classes.

  • Priory Gardens – funding to improve the front garden, including disabled access and a new sundial to commemorate a local historian.

  • Dance Blast – running weekly creative dance classes for families over a six month period

  • ​Bridges Community Centre – partial funding for the repairs to the ballroom floor.

  • Love Zimbabwe – funding for drums to run drumming and dance workshops to improve awareness of issues in Zimbabwe across South East Wales.

  • Cross Ash Village Hall – renovation of the gents toilet facilities in the hall.

  • Raglan Local Ways – funding for a set of leaflets defining local walks around Raglan.

  • 1st Raglan Scout Group – purchase of 20 sets of climbing equipment.

  • Babington Meadow Recreation Ground Trust – purchasing a new sign for this community field used for play and events within Penault.

  • Friends of Caldicot Castle – funding for the development of a DVD to explain the history of the castle.

  • The Teddy Bear Club – funding for new toys and safety equipment.

  • Friends of Dixton Church -funding for leaflets to explain the history of this ancient church and encourage visitors and donations.

  • Llangattock-Vibon-Avel Community Choir – commissioning a piece of musical theatre to celebrate the life of Charles Rolls.

  • Hands On Theatre – funding for a gala performance at Dingestow to raise money for Hands Around the World.

  • Usk Tapestry Group - funding for the materials to develop the tapestry.

  • Bryn y Cym Community Association – funding for taster sessions for inside and outside activities such as creative dancing, mountain biking and bread making to encourage local children to take up new interests.

  • Tintern Festival Association – funding for the 2010 Tintern Festival including posters and musicians.

  • Brockweir Green Shoots – creation of a new community vegetable garden including tools and other construction materials.

  • Gavilion Football Club – partial funding for improvements to playing facilities for the youth teams.

  • Music in Monmouth – funding towards running a series of jazz performances at the Queens Head.

  • Hands Around The World – funding towards developing a new base in Dingestow for this international charity to encourage local volunteering and support.

  • Raglan Music Festival 2010 – partial funding for the music festival especially to encourage the involvement of young people.

  • Friends of Monmouth Comprehensive School Boat Club – partial funding towards new equipment, including new oars (blades).

  • The Bridges Tea Dance – funding towards the running costs for the weekly Tea Dance for elderly people with physical and mental health problems.

  • Monmouth Bereavement Support Group – funding for meeting costs and limited intervention by professionals.

  • Crawley Hall – funding for new chairs for the village hall.

  • Thornwell Football Club – funding to take the U16 team to visit other clubs where the players are involved in community activities that continue beyond the youth teams.
