  • The Basement Youth Trust – partial funding for running costs for BYT activities in Ross on Wye.

  • Hands on Theatre – funding for a performance of ‘The Importance of being Ernest’ to raise funds for charity.

  • Tintern Festivals Association – funding for the 2011 festival.

  • Garway Performing Arts – funding for the 2011 Garway Folk Weekend.

  • Redbrook Village Trust – funding for a local music festival.

  • Raglan Twinning Association – partial funding for the first Twinning visit between Raglan and Parce-sur-Sarthe.

  • Gloucester Young Carers – funding to take 5 young carers to a conference.

  • Friends of MCSBC – partial funding for a new double sculling which can be converted to a pair (rowing).

  • Undy Rugby Academy – bridging loan whilst an Active Communities Grant is awaited.

  • Forect of Dean CAB – purchase of computers and IT equipment.

  • Drybrook Allotment and Leisure Gardeners Society – provision of equipment for rainwater harvesting to provide a sustainable supply of water on the allotments.

  • Fryer’s Wharf Committee – clearance of the ancient slipway at Tintern and eventual re-opening.

  • Forest of Dean Youth Workers Network – funding to enable a series of events to be organised by the young people on the forum.

  • Wyesham Play Project – commissioning a sculptor to create a new sculpture from a recently fallen oak tree for the new playground.

  • Dean Heritage Centre – development of a new ‘Monster’ trail.

  • Primrose Hill Nursery – development of a new garden area where the kids can grow fruit, veg and flowers.

  • St Weonards Church – development of the church grave-yard as a nature reserve.

  • Raglan Music Festival – funding for the festival and specifically the youth events.

  • Usk Rural Life Museum – equipment for the community room for use by visiting schools and groups.

  • Abergavenny Cycle Group – training costs for ‘safe on-road’ training for children from 3 schools in Abergavenny.

  • VIBE Lydney Youth Café – funding for a summer art outreach project at 5 locations around the Forest of Dean.

  • Monmouth Off Street Project – administration costs and expenses to run the Skate-board Park project.

 

  • CANDI – partial funding for a youth music and dance project in Cinderford.

  • 1st Usk Scouts – partial funding for solar panels on the scout hut to provide a long term income for this group.

  • Abergavenny Lip Reading – Funding towards training costs employing a tutor to teach practical lip reading skills.

  • Forest Flute Choir – purchase of a bass flute and a contra bass flute for use by the group.

  • Abergavenny Walking for Health – funds for training volunteers and paying for transport for out of town walks.

  • Ewyas Harold Football Club – funding for a new mower for the club.

  • The Penyard Singers – preparation and performance for an innovative concert of English choral music.

  • Herefordshire Disability United – administration costs for expanding the activities of HDU including taking information out into village halls.

  • Redbrook Village Hall – replacement of the windows in the village hall.

  • St Michaels Hall – replacement windows and other refurbishment costs for the village hall.

  • 1st Aston Ingham Scouts – refurbishment of the scout hut including replacement windows.

  • Age Concern Forest of Dean – Publication of a book of old photo’s and memories called ‘Backward Glances’.

  • 1st Magor Scouts and Guides – renovation and energy efficiency improvements for the scout hut.

  • Monmouth Tea Dance – hall hire and other administration costs for the weekly tea dance for elderly people with physical and mental health problems.

  • Gwent Young People’s Theatre – Partial funding for a public performance of a Butterfly Kiss.

  • Hope Support Group – funding for marketing and money-raising activities for this childrens charity in Ross on Wye.

  • Broadwell & Coalway Playgroup – repairing and developing the outside play area including new cushion flooring.

  • Monmouthshire Greenweb – funding for a consultant to develop a business plan to expand the activities of Greenweb and make it financially self-sufficient.

  • Forest Musical Society – partial funding for a new sound system for productions including a PA with radio microphones.

  • Redbrook Rovers AFC – resurfacing the football pitch.

  • Ross Junior Football Club – providing equipment to the 4 – 9 year old players including balls, bibs and cones.

  • Gilwern Park Dance Club – funding for room hire for this community dance event.

  • Cinderford Art Space – funding to extend the childrens circus project Engage.

  • The Barton Hill Animal Therapy – partial funding for a new mini-bus.

  • Caldicot RFU – partial funding for a protective fence to improve child protection and prevent fly-tipping.

  • Second Caldicot Scouts – new guttering and downpipes.

  • Gwent Wildlife Trust – production of an annual events guide including printing of 12,000 copies.

  • Senses Youth Trust – funding for a performance at the end of 2011.

 

 

  • Chepstow Town Amateur Football Club

  • Two Rivers Folk Festival – Puchase of a PA system for use by the Acoustic Music Club in Chepstow and for events such as the Folk Festival.

  • Llanfoist Village Hall – Providing funding for a youth worker.

  • Bi-Polar Carer’s Trust – funding for a ‘together’ course for carers who help people with Bi-polar Disorder.

  • St Arvan’s Church  – production costs for a financial appeal leaflet including the history of the church.

  • Wye Valley Music – funding for 4 chamber orchestra concerts in June 2011.

  • Gwent Young Farmers – partial funding for a new building for training and storage including disabled access.
