  • Ewyas Harold festival of Arts – Funding for a new local arts festival.

  • Monmouth and District Rifle Club – Partial funding for a defibrillator for use by club members and other local people. 

  • Caerwent Playing Field Association – Funding for a new floor in the kitchen as part of the wider refurbishment project.

  • Courtyard Arts Centre – Creating a community archive and developing poetry workshops in the Newton Park area of Hereford.

  • Ledbury Bell Ringers – Equipment to enable the bell ringers to take their simulator out of the church to demonstrate and promote bell ringers.

  • Chepstow Senior Citizens Welfare Trust – Provision of WIFI for the building.

  • Bridges Community Centre – Protection for the armorial windows which form part of the grade 2 star listing of the Drybridge House building.

  • Goytre Community Garden – Funding for the next phase of development of this community garden.

  • Abergavenny Crafty Women – Funding for a part-time Co-ordinator to promote and administrate this active arts group.

  • Ross Town Band – New instruments for the junior section of the band.

  • Friends of Tintern – Funding for additional acoustic panels for the village hall.

  • St Briavels Assembly Rooms Trust – Funding for acoustic panels for sound proofing in the recently refurbished hall.

  • Ross on Wye Action Committee – Partial funding towards a new Community Mini-bus to transport elderly and disabled people within the Ross area.

 

  • KIT Keeping in Touch – Partial funding for running costs for this charity which works to build long term relationships with non-resident family members.

  • Jumpstart Kidz – Funding for a new service to provide support for post-natal depression and anxiety in rural Herefordshire.

  • Nelson Garden – Partial Funding for the next stage of the refurbishment of the Nelson Garden in Monmouth including the 18th Century Hot Wall and Memorial Pavilion.

  • Wye Valley Music – Setting up a new website and administration systems to promote concerts and other classical music in the Wye Valley.

  • Monmouth Music Theatre – funding for a new electric piano for rehearsals and smaller performances.

  • Found in the Forest Youth Theatre – Partial funding for the 2017/18 programme of Youth Theatre projects in the Forest of Dean.

  • Llangwm Local History Group – Funding for a new printer / copier for producing leaflets.

  • Homestart Monmouthshire – Funding for fencing a new coppice of trees on Gwent Wildlife land in celebration of 5 years of Homestart Monmouthshire.

  • Yeleni Therapy and Support – Funding for new IT equipment for the Yeleni centre which provides complimentary therapy for cancer patients.

  • South Wye Development Trust – Funding for a new oven as part of the refurbishment of the Kindle Centre in Hereford.

  • Ross Juniors Football Club – Funding for new demountable goal posts for the junior team that can be moved during floods.

  • Marches Counselling Service – Funding for a pilot study for the further development of counselling services in South Herefordshire.

  • Much Birch Community Hall – Partial funding for the major refurbishment of this village hall.

  • Monmouth Tinnitus Hard of Hearing and Lipreading Group – Funding for 40 x 2 hour lip reading training sessions for people from the Monmouth area.

August 2016
  • 1st Golden Valley Scouts - New camping equipment to enable the full group to camp together including 9 tents, stoves and fridge.

  • Music in Monmouth - Community music group in Monmouth bringing jazz and other contemporary music to the Queens Head Pub.

  • Ewyas Harold Football Team - Installation of a new disabled access ramp with railing to enable access into the new toilets and changing rooms.

  • Tintern Festivals Association - Funding towards the 2016 Tintern Summer Fete.

  • Caldicot Musical Theatre Society -Funding for an open air production of Alice in Wonderland with the youth group within the society.

  • Goetre Village Hall - Funding for new doors and disabled access into the village hall.

  • Redbrook Village Trust - Funding towards the Redbrook Music Festival which raises money for the village hall and other Redbrook facilities.

  • GAVO Volunteer Centre - Funding for a presentation evening to celebrate the contribution of volunteers across Monmouthshire.

  • Plantlife - Improvements to access and the addition of interpretation boards at Joan’s Hill Nature Reserve.

  • Monmouth Music Festival. Funding to extend the classical music offering within the festival working towards having classical music on the main stage.

  • Caldikidz - Revenue costs plus new equipment for this Youth group in Caldicot working with kids from 5 to 11.

  • Monmouth Ladies Choir - New piano to replace failing keyboard.

  • Little Dewchurch Social Committee - Funding for a safe dog walking area with bins for waste.

  • Homemakers - Partial funding for a new foundation slab in preparation for a new building for renovating old furniture for use in the community.

  • Raglan Festival - Partial funding for the music festival in June 2016.

  • Growing Local is Going Local - Building and educational, child and customer friendly website to support the educational workshops.

  • Environability - Programme of 52 social events for disabled people from the Ross on Wye area.

  • The Putson Community Association - Support for the creation of a ‘stay and play’ group within the local community.

May 2016
  • Chepstow Arts and Community Festival - Partial funding for the 2016 Festival of Arts and Music.

  • Chepstow Cricket Club - New fencing (nets) for the practice facilities used by all members of the Cricket club including the juniors.

  • Cross Ash Under Fives - Funding for a self-supporting weather cover for the yard area, allowing the kids to play outdoors in wet and hot weather.

  • Caldicot Friends of Guiding - Funding for repairs to the paving in front of the Guide Hall.

  • Moccas Village Hall - Replacement tables for this millennium community hall.

  • Ross on Wye British Legion - Funding for the 2016 tea party as part of the ‘100 year anniversary’ celebration for the First World War.

  • Lydney Festival - Funding for the youth events within the 2016 Festival.

  • Monmouth Tea Dance - Funding for the Tea Dance at the Bridges Centre for elderly people often with physical or mental problems.

  • Ledbury Poetry Festival - Partial funding for the 2016 Festival.

  • Fownhope Recreation Field Association - Installation of a permanent projector for use by all of the groups that use the village hall.

  • Crossroads Care Forest of Dean - Funding for a weekly skills club for young people with ASD.

  • Bishopswood River Festival Committee - Funding for a breakfast for the entire village with entertainment for the kids as part of the Wye Valley River Festival for 2016.

  • Chepstow Bridge Committee - Funding for a series of events to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the ‘Iron Bridge’ over the Wye in Chepstow, now the oldest standing cast iron bridge in the world.

  • Chepstow Amateur Boxing Club - Maintenance and improvement costs to keep the club operating and attract new members.

  • Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust - Improved access and explanatory boards for the Poor’s Allotment Nature Reserve.

  • Singing with Parkinsons - Contribution towards the running costs for this active community group.
