Chepstow Swimming Club

Thank you once again on behalf of Chepstow and District Swimming Club for your very kind donation. It has really helped the club and made a significant difference for a number of youngster in Chepstow and the surrounding area.

The generous donation has mainly gone toward entry fees for league competitions together with our transport costs. We have also allocated some of the money to training equipment to help improve the swimmers technique.

A few weeks ago we had an article in the Cheptow Free Press and the Chepstow & Caldicott News with a photograph setting out that we won the P&P Shield Competition held in Pontypool where we held off the competition of Caldicott, Monmouth, Pontypool, Rhondda and Merthyr. We did ensure that we mentioned the donation of the New Grove Trust.

I attach photos of the recent final round of the Wyvern League where we finished in a creditable fourth position. once again your donation has assisted us with entry fees and transport costs as it is held over 6 rounds in all the locations. The other participants were; Ledbury, Newport, Monmouth, Torfaen Dolphins and Blaenavon.

As a club we have continued to expand and have been successful in attracting numerous new young swimmers over the last few months (the new membership will help us cover the increased pool fees Monmouthshire County Council imposed on us) and now we have a total of 92 young swimmers regularly taking part in training and events. Your donation has gone toward helping all of these swimmers.

Please let me know if you want me to continue to update you on our progress.

Thank you once again for your very kind donation.

Kind regards

Jonathan Miles
