Cross Ash Village Hall
Although functional the facilities in the hall had become dated, not very hygienic, smelly and not suitable for small boys to use. The toilets had also been criticised by the Play School Inspectors.
However, once the work had commenced it was found that the toilet area had a ceiling water leak that was discovered after
heavy rain, and the resulting damage needed to be repaired before the renovation as planned could continue.
The result of this was that the “retiling” became a much larger and more expensive job than originally budgeted.
The additional work resulted in a final cost some £1000 more than the original estimate. Without the generous support from The New Grove Trust we would have been financially embarrassed. The Village Hall Committee has been able to meet their liabilities and thank you for your support.
